A muscle relaxant or pain reliever helps a great deal. Aleve or Tylenol are good choices. These help relieve the symptoms during and after an attack.
Also, these kinds of attacks drain potassium. So immediately after, drink juice or eat fruit with potassium. Oranges, banana and pear is good.
And finally, eat a bit of chocolate. This will help elevate your physical a lot, keep you happy while you adjust to the aftermath.
